Buy of the Week

Let's rethink blue jean skirts and pants. Denim is a wonderful fabric, but it has come a long way since the days of cowboy wranglers. Choosing the right style of denim for your wardrobe can be tricky. I prefer lightweight denims or ones with a little stretch to them, rather than a bulky, heavy jean.

When purchasing jean slacks, select a trouser cut in a dark wash. Choose a cut that gives you a long, clean look rather than one that makes you look overly curvy and misfit. If you are petite, don't overwhelm your form with too wide of a pant leg. For the rest of us, we should stay away from the "ice cream cone effect." (This means leave the tapered or skinny jeans on the store rack.)
