I have a crush on red lipstick. It can be so fun for a special event or for making the everyday a little more fancy! Red lipstick is not for everyone. If you're still enjoying your teen years, pass the red lipsticks by and go for lovely lip glosses in tinted colors.
Red may not be your style and that's okay, too! Reasons I like red is that it makes teeth seem whiter and draws attention to a smile! = D If you are considering wearing red, keep the rest of your makeup simple, e.g., use less eye makeup if you want a bolder color on your lip.
Choosing the right red might take a little trial and error. If you are more of a cool skin tone, then try a deep cherry color. If you are more warm, go for the true reds like fire engine red.
If you are using a lipstick to make your teeth seem whiter chose it based on the color in your teeth. If your teeth tend to be more grey or bluish try a Orange/Red to off set the blue and if you have yellow tints try a Blue/Red which will off set the yellow. Oh and always make sure your lips are well exfoliated and get a moisture rich lipstick otherwise it will just look flaky and nasty...which nobody wants. :)
